Holiday Cottages Cornwall – Gorgeous Self Catering Properties in Feock

Self Catering Feock A private drive. Large manicured, sloping gardens. Lots of lovely privacy provided by pretty, mature trees. Fabulous views and sophisticated waterside living. A sun balcony. Big, bright, airy en-suite bedrooms. And the tidal waters of the scenic Restronguet Creek just a short stroll away…

If it sounds like self catering holiday heaven, it is! Here’s a quick run-down of our luxury Feock holiday home, Chinook, one of our most popular cottages. Cornwall holiday, here we come!

All you need to do is glance out of Chinook’s windows and you just know you’re in Cornwall. The garden is home to masses of exotic, warm weather plants you won’t see thriving anywhere near as well further north. There’s shimmering water through the trees and the sails of small river craft regularly drift across your view. Inside Chinook is decorated with style and panache, extremely well equipped with quality furnishings and attractive, funky accessories, designed to sleep six very comfortably indeed.

The friendly little village of Feock lies right on the River Fal and its designation as an official Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is no surprise. The whole area is quite simply breathtaking. In summer it’s a delight. Off season it’s equally beautiful, in winter taking on a fascinatingly stark aspect, enduringly popular with hikers and other stalwarts who prefer the county in the cold. With its ancient bones showing through.

Feock is wonderfully convenient for the King Harry Ferry to St Mawes and Roseland Peninsula, a magical place that seems far too exotic for Britain. If you’re a food fan you’ll love the numerous excellent eateries near Feock and in the surrounding area. There’s loads of really good gastro pubs and restaurants, some with beautiful sea views for eating out as the sun goes down. Or, in cooler weather, eating fine food and drinking fine wines while the bright, cold moon shines its silver path across the sea. It’s so lovely here we can’t help waxing lyrical!

The Pandora Inn is a big favourite with our guests, as are the Three Mackerel, The Sticky Prawn and the Punchbowl & Ladle. It’s only five miles to Truro too, so you’re right on the doorstep of all sorts of thrilling activities and things to do. We love it. As holiday cottages Cornwall go, it’s very hard to beat!
