Dale Cottage, a dog friendly self catering cottage, can accommodate 6 adults plus one child under 2 in a cot, it is located right in the centre of Crantock Village, and so is very close to and convenient for Crantock beach.
Dale Cottage has been newly renovated, and is an end of terrace house on three floors, with an enclosed garden. This self catering luxury cottage has been beautifully finished with cleverly co-ordinated soft furnishings. It has a lovely bright, warm and welcoming feel.
Less than 5 minutes walk away is Crantock's sandy beach suitable for families and surfers alike. There are two pubs and the church of St Carantoc only a 2 minute walk away. The Londis grocery store and Post Office are only a minutes walk away.
Dale Cottage is decorated in a modern country chic style. The accommodation is laid out in a traditional style and has been refurbished to a high standard in line with all our luxury cornish holiday homes.
There is a wooden gate enclosing the front garden and three long gentle steps lead to the front door of the cottage.
Entering by the front door guests will find the welcoming and cosy sitting room complete with solid oak floor and log burner. You will find a corner seating unit, armchair and bean bag chair. Guests will really love this room – there is a large screen TV and DVD player for your added enjoyment.
A doorway leads to the stairs and the Dining Area. The table has plenty of room for six guests to dine in style. There is plenty of room for a high chair as well. French doors lead to the lower level of garden. The lovely slate floor and log burner in this room add to the cosy feel of the cottage.
A door to the rear of the property, leads to a really well equipped kitchen including a double oven cooker, butler sink with granite work surfaces either side and a dishwasher plus plenty of cupboards and a microwave. A stable door leads to the lower patio level.
Upstairs, there are four bedrooms each with storage space.
Up the stairs:
Bedroom1: on the left at at the top of the stairs, step up. Flexible sleeping option of either twin 3’ (90cm) beds or a 6’ (180cm) superking . Chest of drawers and wardrobe. Bedroom 1 looks out to the front of the cottage.
Bedroom 2 has a 3' single bed, chest of drawers, bedside table, a bank of hanging hooks and looks out to the rear garden.
Bedroom 3 has a single bed, bedside table, cupboard and chest of drawers. Bedroom 3 looks out to the front of the cottage.
There is a family bathroom with a bath, over bath mixer shower (large shower head), towel rail, sink and toilet. The bathroom faces to the rear of the cottage.
Up a second flight of stairs (12 steps in total) to a loft bedroom.
This bedroom has a 5" (150cm) double bed, in-built eaves cupboard, chest of drawers and chair. There is a restricted head height of about 5”10” as guests come up the stairs and enter the loft area, once in the room there is plenty of head height as it has a vaulted ceiling. There is a dormer window to one side looking out to the front of the cottage, there is a Velux window to the rear looking over the garden. There is room for a cot in this room.
There is an en-suite shower room comprising of a large tray and drench head shower, shaver point, sink & toilet.
Outside:
Dale Cottage is set into sloping ground and has outside space to the rear set at three levels.
In the rear garden there is a patio area outside the kitchen, there are steps up to a patio area with table, chairs and parasol. Further steps lead up up to a grassed area. There is a shed here with plumbing and power where a washing machine can be found for guest use. The rear garden faces south west.
A cot and high chair is available.
Heating
Heating by radiators from a LPG boiler. There are log burners in the sitting and dining rooms.
Laundry
There is a washing machine and rotary drier.
Telephone
A land line telephone is available with an honesty box to pay for any calls made.
Wireless Broadband
Wireless broadband is available to guests at no extra charge.
Start Date
Holidays start at 16.00hrs on a Friday, unless a different date is specified or a short break is being taken.
How many guests will be staying
We find that for Non Peak weeks (that is weeks outside the school holidays, which includes all of July and August), the property is popular with couples and small groups of 2+, so we now offer a Reduced Occupancy rate for groups of this size outside the summer and holiday weeks.
For Non Peak weeks, the displayed price is the discounted occupancy rate for up to 2 guests. If 3 to 6 guests are to stay then the No of Guests option when booking should be used for a larger group. If the No of Guests option is not displayed then the week is a Peak Week and the rate is for 6 guests. Up to one child under 2 years of age who uses a cot and high chair and does not occupy a bed, can be brought in addition to the number of guests allowed in a property at no additional charge.
Short Breaks
Short Breaks are sometimes available between November and March, except for Christmas, New Year and mid February School Holidays. Please call or email if you are interested in a Short Break. Our charges for Short Breaks can be found on the left hand menu.
We are Dog Friendly
We are able to accommodate up to 2 dogs at Dale Cottage, depending on their size, for which there is a small charge. When booking, the Dogs? option should be used.

Gardening
During the summer, the gardeners may visit weekly to carry out maintenance for approximately an hour. Over the winter period this reduces to approximately once every 3 weeks
Parking
During October to April there is parking available in Crantock Village. During May and including September there are parking restrictions in the village but the owners of Dale Cottage have secured a parking permit for 1 car so that guests can park at the Crantock Village Hall at the top of Halwyn Hill.

Reservation Deposit and Final Payment
If you are booking more than 2 months in advance, you can either pay in full or send us a Reservation Deposit of 25% of the rent .The balance is due 2 months before your booking; your booking form will show the full amount due.
Refundable Occupancy Deposit
A £50 per week Refundable Occupancy Cash Deposit will be requested on arrival if you are staying with a dog. This will be paid to the Property Manager on arrival, and will be refunded on departure, subject to any retention for damage. Please see our Terms of Business for more details.
Utility Charges
Utility charges are included in the rental price.
Sheets and Towels
Included in the rental price is bed linen for each bed that has been booked and a hand towel for each basin and a shower mat for each shower or bath. Additionally, each guest can be provided with a bath and hand towel at a charge of £3.50 per person. Guests must provide their own beach towels.
