Cottage Summary

Creek View is a single storey cottage in the picturesque village of Feock. The cottage has stunning water views over Restronguet Creek which can be enjoyed from the living room, master bedroom and the patio.

Creek View is ideally located, only a few miles from Falmouth and the city of Truro. Walkers, cyclists and dog lovers will find the location ideal, as you can easily walk or drive to Loe Beach and The Old Quay Inn at Devoran, which have great food (Loe Beach has food during the Spring and Summer only) and are dog friendly. Local shops can be found two miles away at Playing Place and Carnon Downs.

The beautiful National Trust gardens of Trelissick are two miles away, right next to The King Harry Ferry where you can quickly reach The Roseland Peninsula and enjoy its sandy beaches, beautiful landscape and attractions at St Mawes or make a trip to Portscatho to enjoy a coastal walk and a superb lunch at The Hidden Hut.

"Creek View has been a family home and a much-loved holiday retreat for three generations. When we arrive, that first view across the water is our cue to relax and forget the rush of normal life for a while. It is time to rediscover favourite activities such as the trip along the miners’ tramway - with a stop at the Old Quay Inn, of course! We love to visit the many delightful gardens such as nearby Trelissick, subtropical Glendurgan and the romantic Lost Gardens of Heligan.

The more energetic members of our family enjoy golf at Killiow, watersports at nearby Loe Beach and cycling the Bissoe Trail to the north coast. Being between Truro and Falmouth, we have the choice of two lively but very different centres, offering theatre, cinema, museums, art galleries and some excellent pubs and restaurants. It all adds up to our perfect family holiday."

Access

Steep driveway up to flat parking area next to house. Bungalow, suitable for guests with less mobility.

Entrance Hall

Access from patio leads into entrance hall with doors to living room, second sitting/TV room, bedrooms, bathroom and kitchen.

Living Room

Living room with sitting and dining areas. Sofa, two arm chairs, flat screen TV, DVD, wood burner. Dining table and seating for 4. Wooden floor and a rug. Stunning view over the garden to Restronguet Creek.

Second Sitting Room/Snug

Sitting room overlooking the garden with Sofa, additional flat screen TV, beanbag chair, coffee table. Wooden floor and a cosy rug.

Kitchen

Fully fitted and well equipped spacious kitchen with dishwasher, large family fridge/freezer, microwave, low level oven, hob and view to garden. Floor tiled and on one level. Corridor to utility Room and separate shower room with WC, door to front drive from the utility area. Side door to enclosed rear garden. A fantastic family kitchen with direct access to the garden.

Utility Room and Shower Room

Washing machine, tumble dryer and sink. Space for storage and room for dog basket. Door to shower room with large enclosed shower cubicle, toilet, hand basin and shelf and cupboard storage. There is an outside door from the utility room leading to the parking area.

Sleeping

Bedroom 1: Double 5’ (150cm) bed. Bedside tables, chest of drawers, wardrobe and view of Restronguet Creek. Carpet on floor.

Bedroom 2:Twin 3’ (90cm) beds. Bedside tables, chest of drawers, wardrobe and view of garden. Carpet on floor.

Bathrooms

Family bathroom: Bath with shower over, sink, toilet, heated towel rail, storage.

Shower Room: Large enclosed shower, toilet, hand basin and storage.

Garden

Creek View has an interesting, mature and well planted garden with a south facing patio enjoying elevated views over Restronguet Creek. To the front and south there is a sloping lawn leading to the road. There is also an enclosed garden to the rear of the cottage. The garden maintenance should take place on changeover day, however sometimes (in the case of inclement weather) it is necessary for the gardener to visit midweek.

Bed Linen and Towels

Included in the rental price is bed linen for each bed that has been booked and a shower mat for each shower or bath. Additionally, each guest is provided with a bath and hand towel. Guests must provide their own beach towels.

Cars can be parked on Trevallion Park in front of the house.

We are Dog Friendly

We are able to accommodate up to 2 dogs at Creek View, depending on their size, for which there is a small charge. When booking, the Dogs? option should be used.

When Creek View has low occupancy from 1 to 2 guests, the following number and breeds of dogs are on our Allowed List for Creek View.

When Creek View has higher occupancy from 3 to 4 guests, the following number and breeds of dogs are on our Allowed List for Creek View.

When you are asked to confirm the breed of your dog, if it is not on our Allowed or Not-Allowed lists, please use the "Not Listed - Small", "Not Listed - Medium" or "Not Listed - Large" and describe the breed or the height and weight of the dog in the comments section.

Reduced Occupancy Discounts

We find that weeks outside the school holidays, Christmas and New Year, the property is popular with smaller groups, so we now offer a Reduced Occupancy weeks at a discounted rate.

For Reduced Occupancy weeks, the displayed price is the discounted occupancy rate for the minimum group size (2 guests). If more guests are to stay then the No of Guests option when booking should be used. If the No of Guests option is not displayed then the week is Full Occupancy and the rate is for the maximum group size (4 guests).

Up to one child under 2 years of age who use a cot and high chair and do not occupy a bed, can be brought in addition to the number of guests allowed in a property, at no additional charge. Please call or email us if you wish to bring two children under 2 and have 2 cots and 2 high chairs.

Heating and Utility Charges

All electricity and heating is included in the cost of the booking.

Heating is by thermostatically controlled electric radiators in each room.

Arrival and Departure Times

Holidays start at 16.00 hrs on day of arrival and the property must be vacated by 10.00 hrs on the day of departure.

All bookings are subject to our Terms of Business which you will be asked to confirm before completing your booking.

Reservation Deposit and Final Payment

If you are booking more than 2 months in advance, you can either pay in full or send us a Reservation Deposit of 25% of the rent. The balance is due 2 months before your booking. Your booking form will show the full amount due.

Refundable Occupancy Deposit

A Refundable Occupancy Deposit may be requested at the time of booking, or may be requested if the number of guests or the number of dogs changes after the booking has been made.

Refundable Occupancy Deposits will be collected by the Property Manager as a cheque or in cash on arrival and refunded on departure, subject to any retention for damage or extra cleaning required.
