How to Book a Cottage Online
Our online booking system is just that - with up to date availability and instant bookings.
You can check availability, prices or Book a Cottage, by either using the Select Week to Book on the right hand side of the web page describing each cottage or to see the availability of all cottages by going to the Find a Cottage
of this web site.
For each of our properties, you can see if they are available for the weeks you want, booked subject to signed contract and payment or not available.
You will be able to select the properties that are available and place them in your own Shopping Cart
. If you have ever bought anything such as a DVD or a book online, you will find the procedure the same and very easy to use.
If you are a large party, it is possible to book, for example the Great Weston Farmhouse and the Lavender Barn for the same weeks by putting the weeks you want in the Shopping Cart
. Certain cottages cannot be booked together on one booking. If you receive a message stating this, simply make two bookings.
You can also select options, such as:
a. Bringing your dog - there is a pull down menu to select this option. Please read our Dog Friendly rules by clicking here
before booking to bring a dog.
b. Reduced Occupancy Discount- out of the busy periods our cottages are offered with discounted reduced occupancy rates. If more people than the minimum number are to use the cottage (up to the maximum allowed), a pull down menu can be used to confirm how many people will be visiting. Please read about Reduced Occupancy Discount by clicking here
c. Short Breaks are available off season. When available there will be a pull down menu to allow you to select either a full week or a short break. Please read about Short Breaks by clicking here
d. Or any of the other promotions we are doing.
If you want to see what is in your Shopping Cart
, use the Shopping Cart box at the top right of the screen.
If you are planning to visit for more than once (for example in March and September) it is best to book as separate bookings as our Terms of Business require the total deposit and the total final payment before the start of your first week.
Once you have selected the weeks you wish to book then go to Check Out
You can get to Check Out
from the menu on the left of the screen or you will be asked if you want to Check Out
after putting items in your Shopping Cart.
Before you can use Check Out
to book, you will be asked to confirm your acceptance to our Terms of Business
and then to Create an Account
or to Log yourself into
your account if you already have an account.
Within Check Out
you will see instructions on how to pay, along with the booking terms and conditions. You will be asked to print a copy of the Booking Letter and Terms of Business. These should be signed and posted back to the address on the Booking Letter along with your check for deposit (if booking more than 3 months away) or full payment (if booking within 3 months of your holiday).
If you have any problems printing the Booking Letter and Terms of Business, give us a call or send us an email and we will post a copy to you.
We offer Short Breaks from November to Easter, excluding Christmas and New Year and the February school holidays. Please call or email to see if a Short Break is available. Click here for price of Short Breaks
All our cottages are strictly no-smoking. Click here for details on our No-Smoking Policy
Some of our cottages, such as Cormorant, Guillemot and Lavender Barn are all on one level. Please contact us if you have any questions about the suitability of our cottages.
Once you have booked you can view the status of your booking at any time by logging in using your email address and password and selecting My Details
from the menu boxes on the left.
