Do not be alarmed, it is finished and has been operating as a holiday let since 2014, its interior can be viewed in our gallery of photographs!

Cottage Summary

Da Nance is a four bedroom detached house ideally designed for family holiday living. Newly built, just three years ago, its spacious and light filled layout makes for easy, safe, fun living; and with the added bonus of a fully enclosed garden, children are free to explore leaving the parents to kick back and relax!

Due to its central location, Da Nance will appeal to those who like to be within a close walking distance from Crantock village’s facilities, as well as being just a short drive from all of Cornwall’s sporting, leisure and other attractions. Crantock beach is about a 10 minute walk from the cottage, making it an excellent spot for surfers and beach lovers.

"Having had a holiday home in Crantock for 30 years (the house next door in fact!) we decided to use the land to the side of the house to build our own home. We have built our dream home in our dream village. We wanted a house that could accommodate our growing family, be close to the beach and the village centre and be welcoming, even when there's just the two of us. We love to spend time here during the winter, sometimes being brave enough to go surfing. Da Nance has given our family so much pleasure – we hope you will enjoy your stay and have a fantastic holiday."


Block paved parking area to the front with parking for 2 cars, step and wheelchair ramp up to front door from drive. Lobby and hallway, stairs with a turn, rising to the two bedroom floors. Door to kitchen, door to living room and door to downstairs cloakroom. All the doors in the house are wide enough for wheelchair access.

Fully fitted and very well equipped kitchen with dishwasher, two single built in ovens, hob, large free standing fridge/freezer. Washing Machine with outside line for drying.


A cot is available for use in the Master Bedroom.

First Floor:

Bedroom 1: Configured either as a super-king size double bed or two 90cm single beds. Bedside tables & wardrobe.

Bedroom 2: King sized bed. Bedside table, drawers & built in hanging space.

Bedroom 3: Two twin 3’ (90cm) single beds. Two chests of drawers and a peg rail for hanging.

Family Bathroom:

Bath with shower over, WC, sink, towel rail

Top Floor:

Bedroom 4: Super-kingsize (180cm) double bedstead. En-suite shower room. Bedside tables, chest of drawers & built in hanging space in the eaves.

Fully enclosed, mainly paved patio and lawn to rear with BBQ and table seating 8. Garden bench. Storage area to the side – accessed by gate from the parking area. Bicycles and surf boards can be stored here.

Bed Linen and Towels:

Included in the rental price is bed linen for each bed that has been booked and a shower mat for each shower or bath. Additionally, each guest is provided with a bath and hand towel. Guests must provide their own beach towels.

Telephone and Wifi:

Wifi is available in the property at no charge for Fair Usage.

There is no landline telephone available. Most mobile networks are available. Please check with your mobile provider.


There is parking for up to 2 cars.

Dogs are allowed at Da Nance. There is a refundable occupancy deposit for guests bringing dogs of £150. This is payable by cheque to the Property Manager.

Reduced Occupancy Discounts We find that weeks outside the school holidays, Christmas and New Year, the property is popular with smaller groups, so we now offer a Reduced Occupancy weeks at a discounted rate.

For Reduced Occupancy weeks, the displayed price is the discounted occupancy rate for the minimum group size (2 guests). If more guests are to stay then the No of Guests option when booking should be used. If the No of Guests option is not displayed then the week is Full Occupancy and the rate is for the maximum group size (8 guests).

Up to one child under 2 years of age who use a cot and high chair and do not occupy a bed, can be brought in addition to the number of guests allowed in a property, at no additional charge. Please call or email us if you wish to bring two children under 2 and have 2 cots and 2 high chairs.

Short Break Discounts:

Short Breaks are sometimes available between November and March, except for Christmas, New Year and mid-February School Holidays. If Short Breaks are available, the No of Days option should be used to show the discount available for a Short Break.

All electricity and heating is included in the cost of the booking.

Arrival and Departure Times

Holidays start at 16.00 hrs on day of arrival and the property must be vacated by 10.00 hrs on the day of departure.

All bookings are subject to our Terms of Business which you will be asked to confirm before completing your booking.

Reservation Deposit and Final Payment

If you are booking more than 2 months in advance, you can either pay in full or send us a Reservation Deposit of 25% of the rent. The balance is due 2 months before your booking. Your booking form will show the full amount due.

Refundable Occupancy Deposit

A Refundable Occupancy Deposit may be requested at the time of booking, or may be requested if the number of guests or the number of dogs changes after the booking has been made. Refundable Occupancy Deposits will be collected by the Property Manager in cash on arrival and refunded on departure, subject to any retention for damage.
