Cottage Summary

Seascape is a four bedroom detached house ideally designed for family holiday living. It is spacious and light with living taking place on three floors. It is an ideal house for families and makes for easy, safe, fun living with the added bonus of a fully enclosed garden, complete with a tree house. Children are bound to have fun here and with the added bonus of an outside relaxing area, the adults will have their own space to kick back and relax!

Due to its central location, Seascape will appeal to those who like to be within close walking distance of Crantock village’s facilities, as well as being just a short drive from all of Cornwall’s sporting, leisure and other attractions. Crantock beach is about a 5 minute walk from the cottage, making it an excellent spot for surfers and beach lovers.

Why the owner loves Seascape:

Having lived in Crantock all my life, I was delighted when we were able to buy one the best positioned houses in the village. Right in the middle of the village, near the shop, pubs and only a few minutes from the beach, yet still in a peaceful spot, makes it ideal for a family house. The house required a lot of loving when we bought it, which it has now received, making it very special place to be.

We love the space and the light in the house. As it is built into a hill and elevated with the living rooms on the second and third floors, sunlight floods into all rooms giving it a warm and welcoming feel. Having the large sunny garden off the open plan kitchen makes the whole inside:outside thing really work. It is such a great place for a family any time of the year.


Block paved parking area to the front with parking for 3 cars. Slope up to front door from drive.

Entrance hallway, with a utility room and where you will find the washing machine and downstairs WC. Stairs, rising to the living and bedroom floors. Door to the owner’s garage which is kept locked and not for guest use or access.

Upstairs to:

Living Area : to the right of the stairs. Wooden floor throughout the Living Room, Kitchen, Playroom and Bedroom 4. In this spacious and light room there is plenty of seating for guests, a log burner, a wall mounted flat screen Smart TV with DVD and Internet access and plenty of shelving with a selection of books. Sliding doors lead to a balcony on the front of the cottage with an occasional table and chairs for two – just the place to watch the world go by!

Playroom: Shelving with books and games. Sofa, TV with DVD.

Kitchen: to the left of the stairs:

Fully fitted and very well equipped modern high gloss kitchen with dishwasher, double built under oven, hob, fitted fridge/freezer, island with two stools and a solid wood worktop. Table and chairs providing dining for six people. Fold back doors giving access to the lovely garden.

Bedroom 4: King sized divan bed with really comfortable Memory Foam topper. Bedside tables, wall mounted full length mirror, freestanding chest of drawers and wardrobe.

Family Bathroom: Freestanding modern bath, wall hung basin and storage, WC, separate shower cubicle and heated towel rail.

Door and stairs up to Second Floor:

Bedroom 3: Single bed with chests of drawers, shelves and wardrobe

Bedroom 2: Single bed with pull-out second single bed to make one large double bed if required. Chests of drawers and a wardrobe.

Master Bedroom/Bedroom 4: King sized bed. Bedside tables, chest of drawers & built in hanging space in the eaves. A cot is available for use in the Master Bedroom.


Shower cubicle with rainfall shower, sink vanity unit, heated towel rail, WC. Shower room door slides into the wall.


Fully enclosed, large decking area directly outside the fold back doors and then onto lawn and planted beds.

Tree house suitable for use by children aged 5 to 12.

Decked area with outside sofa, on a raised dais next to the BBQ and also, a table seating 6.

Hot outside shower in the area to the side of Seascape – accessed by a gate from the front. Bicycles and surf boards can be stored here.
