The Boat House is simply, a unique studio cottage sleeping two people.
Located on the water with a stunning view up to The Carrick Roads, on Pill Creek in Feock, one of South Cornwall's most sought after villages. There are very few holiday cottages in Cornwall that offer such an outstanding and idyllic position.
It is presented in a contemporary style, with some retro touches, The Boat House is a very comfortable cottage with a high quality finish and fantastic attention to detail.
The location and view will take your breath away.
The Boat House has a private garden on the land side of the cottage with an innovative raised decked area from where the views over Pill Creek and on to The Carrick Roads can be enjoyed.
Here you benefit from a south facing sun trap, as the tree canopy does not extend over the cottage. The ideal spot for an essential sundowner or to sit, read a book or simply enjoy the sounds of the birds and the gentle lap of the water.
There is an outside tap with tie rings fixed to the balustrade, making it ideal for dog owners who want to rinse off their dogs who may have enjoyed the water!
Why the owner loves The Boat House..
"When we moved to Feock we needed a place for our friends and family to stay. We wanted them to have all the comforts of home, a practical kitchen, space to relax, to kick back and, very importantly, to have a comfortable bed to sleep in. As most of our family have a dog, we wanted the cottage to be a great holiday home for all the family. The Boat House enjoys stunning views – a pair of swans frequently come to the cottage, they are amongst many birds that can be viewed and heard here. It has been a great success, the biggest problem is keeping the family away!"
There are approximately 40 steps or so down to the cottage from the parking space. The pathway is designed in a woodland walk with a mixture of decking, sleepers with bark chips and paving. There are handrails where there are slopes.
As Pill Creek is tidal, how far the water comes up to The Boat House will vary with the tide. Water comes closest to The Boat House at a high tide on a Spring Tide. The best way of knowing the situation regarding the tides is to consult the current year's Tide Tables. Feock reaches its high tide about 40 minutes after Falmouth.
